Once you find the right recipe, youíll wonder how you ever made do with soggy cereal. This toasted oat and yogurt layer recipe really is quick to throw together but makes such a change from your usual breakfast options and contains a great superfood to get your day off to the best of starts. Blueberries are packed with vitamin C and a whole host of antioxidants that help to do everything from strengthening the immune system to warding off heart disease. In this simple breakfast recipe, weíve paired fresh blueberries with oats that will help to fill you up and give you energy throughout the day, and fat-free Greek yogurt. The yogurt is a low lactose food, so itís ideal of youíre looking to avoid dairy. Weíve used a tablespoon of honey to give this breakfast option a natural sweetness too. By avoiding any shop bought options and making your own breakfast, you know exactly what youíre giving yourself and your kids for breakfast and thereís no sneaky added sugar or preservatives. this superfood-fuelled breakfast will get your day off to a great start


  • 50g (2oz) oats
  • 6 tbsp fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 100g (4oz) blueberries

This oat and yogurt layer tastes best when it's been chilled in the fridge for an hour or so beforehand.


  1. To make this superfood recipe, toast the oats by dry frying them in a frying pan for 1-2 mins until golden.
  2. Mix together the yogurt and honey and place half in sundae or wine glasses.
  3. Then sprinkle half the toasted oats into the glasses. Top with half the blueberries then repeat the layers.
