Try these herby meatballs with the Christmas Turkey or make a simple tomato sauce to go with pasta for a hearty meal

Ingredients

Experiment with this recipe by trying other flavours with your meatballs, including parsley, oregano, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, Parmesan and shallots

  • ½ x 15g pack thyme, leaves removed from stalks
  • ½ x 15g pack rosemary, leaves removed from stalks
  • 454g pack of 8 Cumberland sausages, casings removed
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F, gas mark 4).
  2. Chop the herbs finely and mix with the remaining ingredients. Divide into eight and roll into balls.
  3. Place on a greased baking tray and bake for 12-15 mins until thoroughly cooked.
