Simple pizza bases
Homemade pizza is a total luxury, and something the whole family can enjoy. This pizza base recipe is dead simple and only takes around 10 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients
- 500g (18oz) flour
- 4tbsp olive oil
- 1tsp salt
- 300ml lukewarm water
- 2tsp dried yeast
- 1/2tsp sugar
Method
- Mix the yeast with sugar and add about 100ml of lukewarm water. Stir and let it sit for about 10 mins.
- Meanwhile, place the flour in a large bowl, add the olive oil and salt.
- After 10 mins, the yeast mixture will have at least doubled in volume. Add to the flour mixture along with 200ml lukewarm water.
- With your hands, knead the mixture until it forms a solid ball of dough. Place back in the bowl, cover with a clean tea towel and allow to sit for an hour before rolling out into pizza bases.
- Top with your favourite things - our picture shows a fresh tomato sauce with cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, pepperoni sausage and parmesan cheese.
