Ingredients
Hoisin keeps in the fridge for up to a week - good with pork and duck, too.
- Four 120g thick fillet steaks
- 3tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 2tbsp light soy sauce
- 1tbsp sunflower oil
- 300g pack prepared stir-fry vegetables
- 1tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- two 350g packs ready-made Chinese fried rice
- 4tbsp chopped fresh coriander
Method
- Put steaks in a bowl. Combine hoisin, ginger and half the soy sauce, and pour over steaks. Marinate for 30 mins.
- Preheat grill to high. Cook steaks for 5 mins on each side for medium, 7 for well done. Meanwhile, heat oil in a wok and stir-fry the vegetables for 3-4 mins, adding sesame seeds for the last minute.
- Heat rice, then stir in the coriander. Spoon into bowls, top with vegetables and cooked sliced steak.
