Fig and Parma Ham Filo Tarts

These tiny tartlets are filled with a mouthwatering mix of parma ham, figs and mascarpone cheese- certain to go down a treat at parties.

Ingredients

For the tartlets

  • 2 sheets frozen filo pastry sheets, thawed
  • Melted butter for brushing

For the filling

  • 1 x 250g tub mascarpone cheese
  • Black pepper
  • 6 slices parma or other ham
  • 2 ripe figs
  • Fresh oregano or other herb to garnish

Method

  1. Divide the cheese between the cases and cut the figs into 6 wedges each.
  2. Arrange ham and fig wedges ( 2 per tart) on top of cheese, grind some black pepper over and garnish with fresh herb sprigs.
