This delicious pork recipe gets a real spicy kick from the pepper sauce- indulge your fast food cravings with some chips and crispy onion rings on the side!

  • Pepper sauce
  • Small knob of butter
  • 50g (2oz) mushrooms, sliced
  • 1tsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2tbsp white wine
  • 2tbsp low-fat soft cream cheese
  • 3tbsp milk

To serve

  • Oven-baked chips, crispy baked onion rings, crushed peas with lemon and sage butter

  1. Preheat grill and cook 2 lean chunky pork chops or steaks for 8-10 mins each side, or cook in oven for about 30 mins at 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Once cooked remove chop and keep warm.
  2. Add small knob of butter to pan and melt. Add mushrooms, sliced, and cook for 1-2 mins. Add the peppercorns, wine and deglaze the pan (just cook off the juices from the bottom of the pan with the wine).
  3. Remove from the heat and add the low-fat soft cream cheese and milk. Return to heat and warm through gently, stirring to make a creamy sauce for approximately 1 min.
