A delicious, gooey snack that you and your kids will love!

200g bar of milk chocolate
25g (1oz) unsalted butter
75g (3oz) crispy rice cereal
12 chopped glacé cherries
25g (1oz) mini marshmallows
30ml (2tbsp) chocolate-coated candies

Break a the chocolate into pieces and place in a heatproof bowl with the butter. Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water and leave until melted.
Carefully remove the bowl from the heat and stir the chocolate with a wooden spoon until smooth. Stir in the crispy rice cereal, glacé cherries and mini marshmallows. Stir until well mixed.
Line a 20cm (8in) square shallow cake tin with greaseproof paper. Spoon the mixture into the tin and level the surface with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle the chocolate-coated candies over and press them down gently.
Chill in the fridge for a few hours until firm, then turn out and cut into about a dozen bars. You can store them in an airtight container for up to three weeks (if you have any left!)
