Cheese-Fondue
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

This naughty shortcut saves you time and makes a perfect fondue for guests.

  • Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Camembert
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Green peppers
  • Grissini
  • Crusty bread (optional)

Method

  1. Take a Camembert and remove the wrapping paper from the cheese itself before easing the Camembert back into the bottom half of the wooden box.
  2. Place the box on a baking tray and pop into a hot oven 220°C for 10-12 minutes, or until bubbling and runny.
  3. While the cheese is cooking, cut up some vegetable sticks - carrots, celery, even green peppers - whatever takes your fancy. Grissini - those Italian breadsticks - are also good.
  4. Take the cheese from the oven and allow to cool for a minute or two before putting it in the centre of the table to dip into. You may like to add some crusty bread.
