Tuna is packed full of B vitamins, protein and omega-3 and this recipe provides a fresh and healthy twist on the classic barbecue burger- but is still just as satisfying!


  • 450g raw tuna steaks
  • 50g fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1tbsp Thai fish sauce
  • 1tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 4 burger buns
  • salad leaves, sliced tomato and seafood sauce (optional), to serve


  1. Finely chop the tuna, using a food processor if possible, and working in small batches. Mix together with the breadcrumbs, sweet chilli sauce, soy sauce, Thai fish sauce and ketchup. Season with pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into four equal-sized burgers.
  3. Barbecue for five minutes on each side and serve in buns with salad and sauce (if used).
