A delicate canapé, which not only looks stunning, but combines the texture and flavour of these tasty little sausages with sweet, crumbling cheese.

Ingredients

  • 24 Richmond cocktail sausages
  • 24 croustade cases or cooked puff pastry cases
  • 200g Wensleydale and cranberry cheese, crumbled
  • 8 slices cucumber, quartered

Method

  1. Grill the sausages for 10 mins, turning occasionally.
  2. Meanwhile, place the cases on a baking sheet and fill each with a little crumbled cheese.
  3. Remove the sausages from the grill and allow to cool before handling them. Trim the end off each sausage to create a point and pop a sausage in each case with the pointed end uppermost.
  4. Grill for 3-5 mins or until the cheese has just melted. Garnish with small slices of cucumber and serve.

    Wow this looks absoulutely delicious, i cant wait to make it! Who ever thought of this is an genious. There is an important party coming up and im thinking about making it!
