It's bad news for the British fry-up. Eating two sausages and three rashers of bacon a day increases your risk of bowel cancer by 63% (World Cancer Research Fund). But don't despair because there's also good news - eating two eggs a day can help you lose weight because they keep you fuller for longer!

Researchers from Surrey University found that people who ate two eggs a day while on a calorie-restricted diet, lost weight and also reduced their cholesterol levels too.

So here's a selection of healthy breakfast recipes to reduce your cholesterol and lower your risk of bowel cancer, including a 'skinnier' version of the traditional English breakfast with half the calories!
