Sausage  and sweet mustard onion pittas

These baked honey sausage and sweet mustard onion pittas are filling and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 8 mini/standard pittas
  • 4 large sausages, cooked and split lengthways
  • 2tsp wholegrain mustard
  • 2tbsp runny honey
  • 1 large onion, sliced and cooked till golden
  • 1 little gem lettuce, sliced into 8 thin wedges

Method

  1. Slice the pittas open lengthways.
  2. Mix the cooked onions with the mustard and honey. Place a wedge of lettuce into each pitta and add half a sausage.
  3. Spoon over a little onion mixture and serve either warm or chilled.
