Honeyed figs and Gorgonzola-topped naan

The delicious mixture of the flavours of figs, honey blue cheese make this pizza-style snack a melt-in-the mouth delight

Ingredients

  • 2 pitta or naan breads
  • 130g (4½ oz) gorgonzola, creamy piccante or stilton cheese, sliced
  • 8 ripe figs, sliced
  • 4 tbsp runny honey
  • Cracked black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6.
  2. Bake the naan or pitta for 5-6 minutes to crispen slightly.
  3. Top with the figs and the cheese.
  4. Drizzle over the honey and sprinkle with cracked pepper.
  5. Put into the oven briefly for the cheese to soften but not melt.
  6. Serve warm, cut in wedges.
