Brussels sprouts with garlic and bacon

Here's one way to make even the toughest critic love sprouts - toss them in butter, garlic and bacon!

  • Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 300g sprouts
  • 50g butter
  • 125g unsmoked bacon, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Method

  1. Cook the sprouts in boiling water until just cooked.
  2. Heat the butter in a large saucepan. Add the chopped bacon and fry for 2-3 mins.
  3. Add 2 crushed cloves of garlic and fry for a further minute.
  4. Add the cooked sprouts and cook for 2-3 mins until the sprouts begin to colour. Season to taste.
