Poached eggs on toast
Cook up a treat for two at breakfast time with these poached eggs on toast, served with thick-cut ham and mustard.

Ingredients
Try replacing the mustard with pickle or fruit chutney, or spoon over some hollandaise sauce for a special occasion.
- 2medium eggs
- 2 slices wholemeal bread (120g)
- 2tsp wholegrain mustard
- 2 thick cut slices British ham (80g)
Method
- Add the eggs to a pan of boiling water and poach for 2-3 mins or slightly longer for a firmer result.
- Meanwhile, toast the bread, spread with the mustard and add the ham.
- Place the poached egg on top and season with black pepper.
