We know what it's like when you're browsing a site with as many recipes as ours. You find a brilliant recipe, want to make it again, but can't remember how you found it!

But we've solved the problem. Now, by clicking 'Save this recipe' or 'I cooked this' on any of our recipes, they'll be saved and grouped into your personal online recipe book. Presenter Sarah Beeny has teamed up with charity Shelter to make these delicious chocolate brownies for their Cake Time campaign


  • 100gbutter, melted
  • 280gcaster sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 1teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 100gplain flour
  • 5tablespoons cocoa

Check the brownies after 25 minutes to see if they're cooked


  1. Preheat the oven to 170C/Gas Mark 3 and grease a 20cm springform cake tin with a loose base.
  2. Sieve the flour and cocoa into a bowl, then add the sugar. Mix the eggs together then pour into the mixture, add melted butter and stir.
  3. Pour the mixture into the cake tin and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
