Woman's Weekly recipe This tandoori seafood skewer is quick, easy and cheap to prepare - it tastes delicious and it's low in calories too! The perfect bite for all the family

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of root ginger, grated
  • tsp each paprika, fresh or dried chilli, ground tumuric
  • Grated zest and juice from a lime or half a lemon
  • 3 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 200g raw prawns
  • 125g squid, cut into rings
  • Lemon wedges

Adjust the recipe to your taste and add more spice if you like your food a bit hotter

Method

  1. Make a tandoori marinade by crushing the fennel, coriander, cumin seeds in a pestle and mortar,
  2. Add garlic cloves and ginger with paprika, dried chilli, tumuric, lemon zest and juice, yogurt. And then season the mixture.
  3. Add to prawns and squid and marinate for 20 mins.
  4. Thread onto 12 skewers.
  5. Griddle for 1-2 mins on each side.
  6. Serve with lemon wedges.
