This one-pot chicken dish is easy to make and deliciously succulent. Delicious served with some sautéed mushrooms or baked tomatoes, this warming dish is perfect for those cold winter nights or served at a summer BBQ. Quick enough to make for a weekday supper, this is a great comfort dish
Ingredients
- 1 chicken, jointed
- Salt and pepper
- 2tbsp plain flour
- 100g butter
- 2tbsp hot water

Method
- Arrange the chicken in a casserole dish. Season. Sprinkle over the flour and dot with half of the butter.
- Melt the rest of the butter in a saucepan with 2tbsp of hot water and pour over the chicken.
- Cook in a preheated oven 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas mark 6 for half an hour, removing from the oven twice to spoon the liquid over the meat.
