These jalapeno poppers make a great addition to any party table and are a sure fire way to wake up any sleepy taste buds! The fiery jalapeno peppers combined with a tangy cheese are a classic Texan recipe. They are usually stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese and bacon and then deep fried but we’ve made them a smidgen healthier and a little easier by simply grilling them until crispy. These are almost guaranteed to be gone within minutes! You can have jalapeno poppers as a little extra treat with a Mexican meal or enjoy them even as a starter alongside other classic TexMex treats like chips and dips and onion rings.

  • 12 jalapeno peppers, drained and halved
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Cream cheese

You can buy jars of blanched jalapeno peppers from almost all supermarkets.

  1. Take each jalapeno and spoon a little cream cheese into each half.
  2. In a bowl mix the cheddar cheese and bread crumbs together and sprinkle the mixture over each jalapeno.
  3. Grill for 5-7mins until the top is golden and crispy. Serve.
