Feed a family for 50 a week

Cajun chicken kebabs with wraps, dip and salad
We asked 4 of our favourite food bloggers to see if they could feed their family for 5 days on just £50. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners, all meals had to come from the £50 budget we set.

They've told us exactly what they made and how they found cutting back when it comes to food. Read their food diaries to get inspiration for how to feed your family on a budget.

When did a week change from 7 days to 5? Nobody told me. Many of us have to do this all the time and we have to spread £50 or often a lot less over 7 days not 5. And just in case anyone was wondering we both work full time and we don't claim any benefits

feeding your family for under £50 a week should'nt be treated as a novelty as alot of families like myself are forced to do it all the time, it's called survival it is'nt fun!

how many days are in a week?

All well and good if you don't have food allergies to take into consideration
