This sherry sweet cocktail takes sherry to the next level with elderflower liqueur and Angostura bitters. In fact, it's so easy to make that all you need to make this cocktail are 3 ingredients and a twist of lemon zest to serve. It couldn't be easier to make this cocktail for your Christmas party, when sherry really comes into its own - it's the taste of Christmas! If you're expecting lots of people, why not make a big jug and ladel into glasses as your guests arrive? This easy cocktail recipe is ready in just 5 minutes so it's easy to make more if you need it.

Ingredients

  • 150ml Amontillado sherry
  • 100ml St Germain elderflower liqueur
  • Angostura bitters
  • twisted lemon zest, to serve

Method

  1. For this winter or Christmas cocktail recipe pour 150ml Amontillado sherry in a jug with 100ml St Germain elderflower liqueur and a few dashes of Angostura bitters. Mix well and leave in the fridge until well chilled.

  2. To serve, pour into short-stemmed glasses and garnish each with twisted lemon zest.
