Bake Off 2017 Christmas special: how many episodes will there be?

Channel 4 previously announced they will be treating us to not just one, but TWO Bake Off Christmas specials.

They've also revealed the titles of the two episodes - The Great Christmas Bake Off and The Great Festive Bake Off.

Bake Off 2017 Christmas special: Who are the contestants?

You'll be happy to hear that some of your favourite bakers from previous series will be back for the Bake Off 2017 Christmas special.

Remember Paul Jagger from series six, who surprised everyone with his incredible Lion bread creation? He'll be joining Paul and Prue for the The Great Christmas Bake Off, alongside 'Becaron' Beca Lyne-Pirkis.

The line up for The Great Christmas Bake Off

Two of season seven's favourites will also be part of the The Great Christmas Bake Off - Selasi Gbormittah, known for his calm approach to any challenge thrown his way, and the lovely Val Stones. Her goodbye speech still brings us to tears: 'When you bake, you always bake for a reason. You're giving it to people, so you make it best you can. And you make it with love.'

In the other episode - titled The Great Festive Bake Off - you'll be seeing another two familiar faces from season seven.

Benjamina Ebuehi will be returning for the festive special, as well as Rav Bansal. The other two contestants will be Rob Billington, from series two (whose pristine chocolate cake accidentally ended up on the floor) and Sandy Docherty, from series six.

When will Bake Off 2017 Christmas special air?

It's been confirmed by Channel 4 the two Bake Off 2017 Christmas specials will air on Monday 25th December at 2.30pm and Tuesday 26th December at 3.05pm.
