Top tips for clean eating
Say goodbye to saturated fats
It's important to know the difference between good fats and bad fats. Fats found in nuts, oily fish and avocados are good for us in reasonable portions but there are other fats out there too which should be avoided when clean eating. It's so long cheese, mayonnaise and other naughty fats.
Vegetables, vegetables and more vegetables
One of the best ways to boost your clean eating habit is by making sure you have plenty of vegetables in your day-to-day diet. Think leafy greens like spinach and kale or raw veggies like carrot sticks and celery – the possibilities are endless!
Limit processed foods
Think fresh and think from scratch. Your favourite readymade pasta sauce or that cereal bar you always reach for come 11am will have to sit on the back burner for a while. It's all about ditching the readymade and swapping it for homemade, wholesome recipes instead.
Cut down the sugar
We can all admit that we overindulge in sweet treats every now and then and clean eating is all about cutting this habit out. Go for low-sugar options if necessary and keep an eye on surprising sugars too which can be found in cereals or sauces for example.
