If you love pancakes and you love that classic Italian dessert, tiramisu, you really must try this mash-up, a panamisu! This recipe brings soft and sweet pancakes together with delicate tiramisu ingredients like fresh cream, dark chocolate and coffee flavouring – in this case, kahlua. This impressive dessert is sure to turn a few heads on Pancake Day.

- 100g mascarpone
- 200ml double cream
- 2 tbsp icing sugar
- 5 tsp Kahlua
- 5 tbsp dark chocolate, grated
Make the pancake batter to the end of step 2. Make 5 x 10cm pancakes as in step 3. Allow to cool.
In a bowl, mix the mascarpone, double cream and icing sugar to medium peaks.
Once cooled, pour 1tsp Kahlua over each pancake and allow to soak in. Top each pancake with the cream mix and 1 tbsp grated dark chocolate.
Layer up and serve.
