I'd infuse the milk with some fresh Kaffir lime leaves to get a hint of that sweet, floral lime flavour in the cake. I can't get enough of that fragrance!

combo lemon and lime in this with zest in the cake also use the juice of both fruits to make a sugary coating on the top of the cakes would be really good as a muffin as well could decorate with marzipan fruit also

I would cover the top of this cake with homemade candied lemon zest and some of the lemony syrup (having pricked the cake a few times to allow the lovely flavour to seep through).
