Thanks for the idea. Will try the dried ones.


Why use tinned chickpeas. They are so expensive compared to soaking and cooking the dried variety. I cook the whole kilogram packet, then divide them up into small cliplock bags and freeze them. They can be thrown into soups, stews and casseroles in their frozen state, as they thaw out quickly.


love chick peas and have seen a few new recipes i am going to try
