Frank Lampard marries Christine Bleakley after a four-year engagement

With a celebrity-filled bash...

Footballer Frank Lampard has married his partner Christine Bleakley at a lavish ceremony in London this weekend.

At a celebration filled with familiar faces from the world of showbiz and football, the 37-year-old ex-Chelsea player married Christine, who he has been dating since October 2009.

The newly weds first announced their engagement in June 2011 after a 'surprise' proposal in Los Angeles, but only tied the knot on Sunday, after a four-year-engagement.

Christine, who is originally from Northern Ireland, wore a dress, rumoured to be worth up to £10,000, by designer to the stars Suzanne Neville.

Singer Katherine Jenkins, Olympian Victoria Pendleton and soap-star Kym Marsh also wore her designs at their weddings.

The pair married at St Paul's church in Knightsbridge and held a reception at the exclusive members-only The Arts Club in Dover Street.

Christine's beautiful wedding dress reportedly cost £10,000

The 36-year-old TV presenter made sure to invite along her former co-host Phillip Schofield, who she presented This Morning and Dancing on Ice with.

As well as Holly Willoughby, Ant and Dec, Emma Bunton and Piers Morgan, who all turned out to congratulate the couple.

Fellow footballer Jamie Redknapp, who is Frank's cousin, arrived with his wife Louise Redknapp.

As if that wasn't enough of a celebrity line-up, Ed Sheeran provided all night entertainment for the guests with live performances.

Christine's sister, Nicola Bleakley, was one of several bridesmaids who wore dark purple dresses, alongside young flower girls who walked down the aisle with Christine.

Frank already has two daughters, Luna, 10, and Isla, 8, from his previous relationship with fiancée Elen Rivas, a Spanish model.

Speaking about their relationship and starting a family together, Christine said; 'He's a brilliant daddy, he really is. It's one of the things that attracted me to him. I have another couple of years of getting up at three o'clock in the morning but I would definitely like to do it.
