Carley announced the engagement subtly by posting an emoji and a picture of bridal magazines to her Instagram account
While Danny, 28, who is known for his role as Mark 'Dodger' Savage, hasn't yet commented on the engagement, the pair's co-stars have already begun sending their wellwishes online.
Jorgie Porter, who stars as Theresa McQueen, tweeted to the pair: 'So happy congratulations @dannymaconline for getting the most perfect girl Evs to laugh at ur cr*p jokes forever .. Awwwww you guys!! Couldn't be happier for you legends.'
Elliot Balchin, who played Kevin Foster, added: 'This makes me so happy @carleystenson love to you and @dannymaconline what a beautiful pair! Love to you both! Xx', while Anna Schaffer, also known as Ruby Button in the series, tweeted, '@carleystenson all the love to you and @dannymaconline, beaming with joy for the both of you!'
Although Danny hasn't yet formally commented on the engagement, he frequently posts pictures of his bride-to-be online
The couple have been together for five years, having revealed that they were dating in 2011. Carley, who has since carved out a career in musicals since she left the TV show in November 2010, had also been in a relationship with Ricky Whittle, who played Calvin Valentine in the soap, from 2007-2011.
No word yet on when the big day will take place, but judging from that stack of mags, Carley's already got her planning well underway. We reckon there's a big cast reunion on the cards - and we can't wait to see the dress...
