Amy Schumer has surprised fans by revealing that she’s tied the knot.
The stand-up comedian broke the happy news on Instagram yesterday by sharing a selection of romantic photos from her and Chris Fischer's big day.
Deciding not to write a gushy caption, Amy, 36, simply accompanied the shots with the word 'Yup'.
The first picture sees Amy and Chris gazing into one another's eyes as they hold hands.
Amy looks undeniably elegant in a white gown by Monique Lhuillier with spaghetti straps, while Chris is very dapper in a dark blue suit accessorised with a cream floral corsage.[instagram]
[/instagram]In another of the snaps, Amy and Chris grin as two adorable pooches make their way down the aisle towards them.
The dogs appear to be wearing wedding attire of their own.
A third image really highlights the pair's happiness as Amy tenderly clutches Chris' arm while beaming as the sun sets behind them.
The announcement comes just days after Amy confirmed their relationship on social media by uploading a sweet shot of her and chef Chris kissing at Ellen Degeneres' birthday party. [instagram]
[/instagram]The speediness of the wedding prompted a number of admirers to speculate as to whether Amy is pregnant. In a bid to stop the rumour in its tracks, she quickly dismissed the claims.
'No I'm not pregnant' Amy wrote in her Instagram account before asking well wishers not to send gifts, but rather 'consider a donation' to Everytown, a movement working towards ending gun violence in America, if they wanted to make a gesture in honour of the newly-weds.
Amy and Chris' wedding was a star-studded affair with Hollywood heavyweights including Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Judd Apatow and Larry David in attendance.
Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence also bagged an invite to the ceremony and revealed during a chat with Entertainment Tonight that it was a very emotional day.
'It was beautiful. It was very sudden...I was sobbing,' the 27-year-old Oscar-winner gushed.
And speaking of Amy's groom's personally penned pledge to his bride, she added: 'His vows were stunning.'
