Get crafty with the kids and make these fun peg dolls - they'll love getting creative and it's a really cheap way to keep them busy!
Keep the kids busy and make these fun nature peg dolls outside with the kids using leaves and flowers from the garden. It’s a really cheap way to keep them entertained and get their creative juices flowing. When we spotted this idea on UK mummy blog, multiplemummy.com
we just knew we had to share it.
You will need: Scissors, string, glue, wooden pegs, a pen and leaves, twigs and flowers from the garden.
Step 1: Head out into the garden to start collecting the different bits you will need.
Collect some flowers, big leaves and twigs and lay out the rest of the equipment on the table.
Wrap one of the big leaves around the wooden peg to make a skirt, then glue it together at the back.
Start making your peg look more like a little doll, by fastening her ‘twig arms’ on with some string, then draw on a smiley face.
Remember all the children’s nature peg dolls can be different, so they could use a dandelion as a hat or a big rose petal as a skirt.
Prop them all up by using a bit playdough or Blu-Tack – they’ll look lovely!
