goodtoknow says: The first symptom of testicular cancer is a painful lump on one testis. But don't panic because if you have testicular cancer there's a good chance you will be cured. Most cases are diagnosed early and are treated quickly with surgery. Even if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body your chances of a cure are still much better than with other cancers. Testicular cancer mainly affects men aged 20-40 so it's important that young men know the signs and report any changes or lumps on their testicles to their GP.

For a full medical explanation of the causes, symptoms and treatments of testicular cancer from patient.co.uk, read on.

The main early symptom of testicular cancer is a painless lump that develops in one testis. Treatment involves surgery to remove the affected testis. Chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy may also be advised if the cancer has spread from the testis. Treatment often works well, even for testicular cancer that has spread. More than 9 in 10 men who are diagnosed with testicular cancer can be cured.
