After my hysterectomy, I found wearing normal underwear really uncomfortable. Then my sister told me about Light Support Knickers. They support your tummy but are made of soft material too. They were a godsend. I got mine for £10.95 from The Hysterectomy Association, www.hysterectomy-association.org.uk.

After my hysterectomy I retained loads of fluid all over my body, but mainly my ankles and I was really uncomfortable. Doctors then recommended that I drink loads of tomato or V8 juice as it acts as a natural diuretic. Within a couple of days I was back to my normal size.
