What do you do on the Wine Diet?

Simply follow the delicious 7-day meal plan and have a 150ml glass of red wine with dinner. You can drink at lunchtime if you prefer but never on an empty stomach. If you need to snack between meals, stick to fruit.

If you don't fancy wine every day, you can swap it for any of the following which all contain the same number of procyanidins as one glass of red wine:

250ml Concord Red Grape juice (only this variety)
30g dark chocolate containing 70 per cent cocoa solids
1 Red Delicious or Granny Smith apple
250ml glass of cranberry juice drink containing at least 25 per cent cranberry juice
50g raspberries or 100g strawberries or blackberries
40g walnuts, although no more than a couple times a week as they are really high in calories.
