What is my BMI?
BMI stands for Body Mass Index. It's a measure of your body fat in relation to your weight and height and it will tell you if you're a healthy weight and the ideal weight for your height.

Does the BMI calculator work for everyone?
No, BMI calculation won't work for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, or kids. It also won't be accurate for athletes, people who weight-train, if you're over 60 or if you have a long-term health condition.

How do I work out my BMI?
1. BMI Calculator: Work out your height in metres by using our BMI chart. Write down your height in metres.
So if you're 5ft 4in your height in metres is 1.62.
Multiply your height in metres by itself. So, 1.62 x 1.62 = 2.62.

2. BMI Calculator: Work out your weight in kilograms by using our chart. Write down your weight in kilograms.
So if you weigh 11st 4lbs, that's 71.7kg.

3. Divide your weight in kg (the answer to question 1) by your height squared (the answer to question 2). So, using our example, the calculation would be 71.7 divided by 2.62 = 27.36.

The number you end up with is your BMI. Now find out what your result means
