Every week we partner up with our sister magazine, Woman, to bring you expert health advice from This Morning's Dr Chris Steele MBE, health journalist of the year. This week he answers your questions about bloating and hairy moles. The problem: I've got that bloated feeling
I constantly feel bloated - could I be suffering from an underlying health problem?
The solution
You might have irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), an intolerance to wheat or dariy, or a more serious intestinal problem. See your GP. In the meantime, try taking two peppermint oil capsules, such as Colpermin or Mintec, three times daily. If your symptoms persist, you may have IBS, which you'll need to talk to your doctor about.
The problem: To pluck or not?
I have a hairy mole on my face, and someone told me I shouldn't pluck the single hair which is growing from it. Is this true?
The solution
No, it's not! But do watch for any changes in the colour, shape, size and outline of your mole, or any itching or bleeding. It's important to report any changes to your doctor immediately.
