If you think being healthy means cutting out all of your favourite treats, think again as some of our favourite foods and drinks can actually be good for us.

A study by Nescafe showed that we often think of coffee, tea, chocolate and red wine as treats that are bad for you, but enjoyed in moderation these are actually excellent sources of antioxidants.


What are antioxidants?


Antioxidants are nutrients in food that help protect our body cells from the damage caused by oxidative stress, like exposure to UV light, pollution or cigarette smoke. Antioxidants neutralise these radicals to stop them damaging our cells.
