What' s the book about? A dark novel set in the 1950s, Tigers in Red Weather focuses on a family and their holiday house in New England. Told from five different perspectives, each member of the family tells their version of the same dramatic summer, where we see another side of the rich and beautiful living in Martha's Vineyard.

goodtoknow says: If you love the Great Gatsby and Revolutionary Road then this is one for you. The reader follows cousins, Nick and Helena, from World War II to them becoming 1950s housewives with their husbands and children. The book turns into a murder mystery after a grim discovery one summer, and slowly reveals all the characters in their true light. Telling the story from each characters' perspectives allows for all the details to be drawn out slowly and the tension to build. However, the twist we were anticipating never appeared, and the end felt slightly anticlimactic. Howver, it's a beautifully written book and you'll be hooked to the characters and plot throughout, so well worth a read.
