What's it about? When Eva starts her new job, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with billionaire boss of the company, Gideon Cross. At first, she's annoyed by the way he persues her, but soon she finds herself drawn to him in an irresistable way. And although Gideon is not looking for a relationship, it seems he'll give Eva anything she wants to pursuade her to be with him. As the couple get to know each other, they begin to discover the dark secrets of their pasts and it soon becomes clear that this won't be an ordinary relationship.

goodtoknow says: This book has received a lot of comparisons with 50 Shades of Grey, and it's easy to see why. The sex scenes are just as raunchy, the leading man is just as troubled and the couple are just as drawn to each other. But while Anastasia in 50 Shades is innocent and inexperienced, Eva is definitely not - and in a way, we found her more believable for this. And while there's plenty of sex scenes, there's much less of a dominator / submissive relationship element (although it comes in a little bit), so if you'd rather read about normal sex, this will be more up your street.

On the whole, we found that the characters weren't all that likeable and their over the top ups and downs got on our nerves (at one point, Eva storms out of Gideon's apartment in the middle of the night because he won't tell her what his nightmare was about). If you've finished the 50 Shades trilogy and are desperate for another book similar, this one will do the trick, but otherwise our advice is to stick with 50!.
