Jennifer, 32, who has three children with her husband Rob Tickle, 35, has told the Daily Mirror 'I don't care about trolls. What I look like is not a priority.'
Throughout her career, Jennifer has fluctuated between a size 8 and an 18, and she is now her heaviest at 14 stone.
She said: 'My husband still looks at me the way he did when I was nine stone.'
Previously having resorted to fad diets to drop weight quickly, Jennifer has had enough of yo-yo dieting.
The star famously went on an 800-calorie diet after the birth of her second son, Harry, in 2013.
'I don't want to fluctuate all my life, I've done every fad diet under the sun - as soon as you start eating properly again, you put it all back on.'
Rude remarks about the TV presenter started appearing on Twitter after she was featured on the Lorraine breakfast show on Monday morning.
One even went as far as to say: 'Middle age spread #jennifer ellison #big', which Jennifer shared on her own profile, saying: 'How lovely from another woman!!'
Her youngest son, Charlie, is now a year old and Jennifer said she finally feels happy in her own skin, not least thanks to her boxer husband.
'He thinks I'm the sexiest woman in the world. So I'm not worried, because he finds me as attractive as he always did and he loves my bum and my boobs.'
The proud mum says that she doesn't want to waste precious hours with her children worrying about her appearance and getting ready.
She told Ok! Magazine 'We're more like: "Let's go out for the day." It's about making memories.'
After the birth of their second son, the family were told that could be the last child they could have.
She explained; 'I have really bad ovarian cysts and the doctors said I wouldn't be able to conceive again - then this happens!'
Jennifer played Emily Shadwick in Brookside from 1998 to 2003 and then went on to win Hell's Kitchen in 2004.
