Why Katie Price is sparking controversy AGAIN with this naked selfie

Here's what Twitter had to say...

Glamour model and mum Katie Price is splitting opinions again after posting a naked picture of herself on a sunbed.

She's definitely not been one to shy away from controversy over the years and now Katie is dividing opinions once more over sunbed safety fears.

Fresh from the social media storm she faced recently after sharing pictures of daughter Princess on Instagram with a full face of make-up on, the 37 year old has prompted yet more outrage with her latest snap.

Ahead of her appearance on Loose Women today, the mother-of-five decided to top up her tan using a sunbed, sharing the 'cheeky' occurence on Instagram.

Some fans were quick to comment on Katie's 'great bod' and 'lovely' figure - and she does look amazing - but it wasn't just the glimpse of her naked body that got people talking.

Many users slammed Peter Andre's ex-wife for using a sunbed, with one user commenting 'You've had a cancer scare yourself KP, not cool', while other said 'So dangerous. That's why they are banned here in Aus. Skin cancer is real peeps. It needs to be taken seriously.'

However, some fans still defended Katie, with one user commenting: 'Oh for god sake... in this country you need all the vitamin D you can get!!! And it seems the only place we can get it now is on a sunbed coz the weather sure isn't going to give us any [sic]'.

According to Cancer Research UK, sunbeds give out harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays that can damage the DNA in skin cells, which can in time build up to cause skin cancer.

Apart from the cancer risks, the UV rays in sunbeds also damage skin and can make it age prematurely, making it look wrinkled, older or leathery. Even though tanning beds can sometimes be marketed as a ‘controlled way’ of getting a ‘safer tan’, Cancer Research UK say that 'sunbeds are no safer than exposure to the sun itself'.

It was just a few weeks ago that many fans got worked up when Katie shared this picture of her eldest daughter, who's recently been signed up to a modelling agency, wearing a full face of make-up. [instagram]

With a video posted on Instagram, Princess made it clear that she was the one putting the make-up on, not Katie.

'By the way, I do my make-up not my mum, I do. And anyway it's none of your beeswax so oosh,' she says in the video.
