A mum has shared a photo of her excess skin to show what it's actually like to lose a lot weight.

Instagrammer Rachel Graham shared a photo of herself stretching the excess skin on her stomach, which was left after she lost an amazing 901lbs.

She decided to share the honest photo to celebrate her healthier lifestyle, rather than obsessing with the loose skin that is left over.

The anxiety posting this is REAL. Taken a few minutes apart, flexing in the first. "How did you avoid loose skin and stretch marks?" Heyyyyy, I didn't! Its all there. High waisted bottoms have become my bff. Do I regret losing weight? Hellllll noooooo. NEVER. Not even a slightest thought. I am more FIT than I've ever been in my entire life. Happier. HEALTHIER. I'd be lying if I said my loose skin wasn't an insecurity of mine.. But I refuse to let it consume me. It doesn't hold me back like the weight used to. This stomach has grown two beautiful boys.. Has been through a 90lb+ gain and loss (100lb+ lost from my highest weight while pregnant!) Will you have loose skin after losing weight? I can't answer that for you, everyBODY is different. Will it be worth it, regardless? YES. Also for those who have asked.. I do plan to have surgery some day, but in the mean time I'm just working on self loooovvveeee. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸ BE KINDDDD, I delete negativity 𤗠(No itworks, creams, lotions, yada yada) #nofilter #stretchmarks

'High waisted bottoms have become my bff. Do I regret losing weight? Hellllll noooooo. NEVER. Not even a slightest thought. I am more FIT than I've ever been in my entire life. Happier. HEALTHIER.'

The mum-of-two also revealed how she's 'been through a 90lb+ gain and loss', and lost over 100lb from her highest weight while pregnant.

While her loose skin was a result of this drastic slimming, Rachel said: 'Will it be worth it regardless? YES.'

Rachel began documenting her journey on Instagram after wanting to lose the weight she put on after having her two sons. She admitted to trying to find the next 'quick fix', but put her incredible weight loss down to a complete lifestyle change.

In an earlier Instagram post, she said: 'I had tried sooo many gimmicks before I made this realization. What really needed though was healthy food and exercise, not a short term attempt at a solution.

'I calorie counted for agggges to make sure I wasn't eating too much or too little. Also, losing weight isn't a "one size fits all" thing.'

Rachel added that while she does plan to have surgery in the future, she wants to spend her time focusing on body positivity rather than her insecurities.

I'm 70 years old... and I've lost over 70 kilos (about 154 lbs) since August 18th 2014 :) I'm far too old for my skin to snap back into place, and I have a **LOT** of loose skin (put it this way - my stomach looks like shabby, tattered, and very badly hung drapes, and the tops of my arms aren't much better) I had to lose the weight, or face surgery that might have killed me, because I'm permanently on Warfarin (google it if you don't know what it is - basically, it's rat poison - it thins the blood to stop problems with blood clots) so I can't even have the excess skin removed without an awful lot of dangerous complications. BUT! Am I happy I've lost the weight? You betcha! There's no way I'll ever go back to the way I was, ever! Do I care about the way my skin looks? :) I'm a woman - of course I do! But I can live with it - hey! I'm 70 years old! I'm not a spring chicken anymore - if my husband of over 30 years (and who is almost exactly 20 years younger than I am) can live with it, I sure can! ;) Good on you for losing the weight, and congratulations... never look back, only forwards! :)

Well done Rachel on losing weight, I lost 5 stone after my 2nd child, so no exactly what it's like to have lose skin, no matter how much exercise I've done, there is no way my saggy stomach, saggy inner thighs or saggy bum are going to firm up, at my smallest of 8 stone it was still there, I'm 8st 10lbs now & at 49 I'm going to have to live with it, my husband is always telling me I'm beautiful & after 5 children my body is perfect but your right high waisted jeans are a god send
