Charlotte Crosby faces backlash after sharing 'gaunt' Instagram snap

'Preferred you with a bit of meat on you'

Having lost over two and a half stone in recent years, Charlotte Crosby's no stranger to showing off her slimmed down figure.

She frequently shares social media snaps of herself in bikinis and fitness gear that highlight her flat stomach and toned limbs - but in her most recent post, fans are suggesting that she may have taken her weight loss too far.

Charlotte uploaded the before and after picture of herself to her Instagram account, crediting her two successful fitness DVDs, the former of which is the fastest selling of all time, for her dramatic transformation.

'Some powerful weekend motivation for you all 🙌🏼 I did it and so can you 👊🏼💪🏼❤️ #3minutebellyblitz & #3minutebumblitz see real results REAL FAST 💪🏼👀', the former Geordie Shore star wrote to her 5.2 million followers.

Some fans were quick to compliment Charlotte on her slimmer physique, with one writing: 'You look amazing Charlotte. Well done' and a second agreeing: 'You done very well 10 out of 10'.

However, many others expressed concern over the picture on the right, with some even going as far as mentioning eating disorders.

'Prefered you with a bit of meat on you. You looked more healthy!' one exclaimed, with another adding: 'Look awful! Looking all gaunt'.

'Sorry I'm a mum and I wouldn't want my daughter looking at that 2nd pic as inspirational. That pic will makes girls anorexic. Fab that you working out and looking after yourself but not too far. Take care of yourself Charlotte,' a concerned fan commented.

'Ive never ever wrote on anyones posts b4 but this just shocked me to the corr. Its not healthy looking at all,' one commenter wrote.

Critics also pointed out that Charlotte's facial expression had changed along with her body.

'Look at all the 'transformation' comparisons. Look at the before and after. Which one do they look happier in?' one asked, seconded by another who said: 'Amazing but u look a million times happier in the first one sometimes is too stressful to stay skinny when u naturally fluctuate'.

Whilst Charlotte herself has yet to comment on the backlash, supporters have jumped to her defence: 'Looking fit and healthy thats the main thing!'

'F*ck the haters they're just jealous 👌 Fair play to you for putting in so much hard work and gaining so much more confidence ❤'.
