Former EastEnders actress Nina Wadia unveils incredible weight loss
'I've just cut out the rubbish'
Former EastEnders' actress Nina Wadia has unveiled her dramatic weight loss during a recent TV appearance.
ITV's Loose Women panel were wowed as Nina arrived for an interview on the show, where the former soap star revealed she'd lost almost two stone.
'It was a lifestyle change,' Nina, 46, explained of her transformation. 'I saw myself in a movie I did last summer and I looked like I had ate myself in it so I thought, I really need to change.'
'I've made my family miserable by making everyone eat healthy,' she joked. 'But just generally, eating healthily and exercising more. I woke up one day and decided that I was going to throw out every fun food in the house. I've just cut out the rubbish.'
However, the mum-of-two, whose children are aged 13 and ten, added that despute their initial reservations, they had quickly become accustomed to her new way of eating: 'They are eating different foods – it is standard now to have fresh salad, and they are loving it.'
Nina played Zainab Masood in EastEnders before leaving in 2013, and has since landed a role in new American NBC series Champions.
When asked if she'd ever return to the BBC show, she revealed: 'They've asked me twice up to this point and unfortunately it hasn't worked out as there's been other work, which is lucky for me as an actress.'
'It's really scary because I've got my home here and my life. It's very out of my comfort zone... I was elated when the call came through and then burst into tears!'
Viewers were quick to compliment Nina on her amazing new look, with many taking to Twitter to express their support.
'She looks fantastic! Her skin is glowing 👍' one commented, whilst a second agreed: 'Love the new hair.... looking fab x'.
