Lauren Goodger breaks down in tears during Loose Women appearance over gastric band rumours

The reality star burst into tears after admitting she feels 'pressure' to lose weight

Lauren Goodger appeared on today's Loose Women to discuss recent headlines but broke down in tears because of the 'strain' of the media scrutiny.

But when the panellists quizzed the star on recent reports of getting a gastric band, she denied it and broke down in tears.

Speaking to the Loose Women hosts, Lauren admitted the media pressure was too much after her 'mentally draining' relationship with Joey Morrison collapsed.

Stacey Solomon comforted the 30-year-old, saying: 'What makes you think you need anything like that? You're gorgeous.'

Dabbing her eyes, Lauren replied: 'I don't know. The pressure they put me under and they make me feel massive.'

Lauren also denied claims made by a magazine that she wants a gastric band. 'I never said that,' she declared, adding tearfully: 'Guys this is so hard to talk about. Sorry, I just feel under a lot of pressure coming here. It's just the relationship, the media.'

The TOWIE star wiped her eyes, saying: 'I don't even know why I'm crying, I just feel like, if I focus on me again and come out of it all...'

Speaking on Twitter Lauren apologised to her 1.35million followers for crying explaining, 'I'm only human'.

Her fans were quick to show their support: 'Sometimes Lauren, you just need to let it out, wish I was yer mate, I'd give u a great big hug, ignore the haters and media concentrate on u.'

'Everything feels better after a cry! Chin up' another said. One fan even advised giving up social media: 'Take the advise the @loosewomen gave you Take a break from social media etc you need to find yourself. Big hug x'

It's been a hard week for Lauren, on top of battling gastric band rumours, the pretty brunette confirmed just last week she has split with boyfriend Joey Morrison after 15 months of dating.

'Me and my boyfriend Joey have actually broken up,' she revealed. 'We broke up a few months ago. We're no longer together, but we're still friends.

'It's a mutual decision. We're no longer in a relationship due to circumstances.'
