The Masterchef and Eat Well For Less star weighed in at around 16 and a half stone at his heaviest, but has now lost three stone over the last few years thanks to a combination of cutting down on fatty, sugary foods and 'retraining his tastebuds' in order to enjoy healthier meals.
Speaking to The Sun, Gregg said that he'd gradually reduced his intake of takeaways and alcohol, and had turned to homemade versions of his favourite treats instead.

'I'm a huge fan of curries, chillies and stews and it is still possible to lose weight and eat hearty meals,' he explained.
'Think about cooking with meats such as chicken and pork — all the things that don't have much fat. Use lean mince to make chillies, fill up with tasty stews stuffed full of healthy, low-calorie veg.'
However, in addition to overhauling his diet, Gregg has also been upping his exercise regime, and has been posting videos of himself on social media lifting weights.
He told the paper that he was in the gym 'most mornings', adding: 'It has been a gradual lifestyle change. I now feel fit and strong because of it. But only you can move yourself into a healthier place.'
'How you feel about yourself is one of the most important things in your life. Only you can change it.'
Gregg, 53, has been candid about his struggles with his weight throughout his career. Back in 2013, he turned to Weight Watchers to get into shape after his doctor raised concerns about his cholesterol.
'Working lunches would go on until the early evening and then I'd go for dinner,' he admitted to the Daily Mail at the time. 'I was probably drinking at least a couple of bottles of wine a day.'
'Before Weight Watchers I'd never considered how much I was eating and drinking. When I had a look at my lifestyle it was a shock.'
