Food nutritionist Monica Grenfell shows you how to lose 3lbs in one weekend!

Feed your body with goodness…

Bananas – High in fibre – High in potassium (helps tackle water retention naturally)
– Can help reduce blood pressure

Yellow fruit like mangoes and apricots – Contain alpha and beta carotene, which help fight cancers, wrinkles and ageing – High in fibre

Nuts – Very high in protein – Brazil nuts are very high in beauty minerals seleniumand vitamin E – High in fibre – Walnuts contain linoleic acid, which lowers cholesterol

Three moves for a flat tummy…

Straight crunch – Put legs on a chair.
– Raise chest up and down 15 times.
– Don’t let head or shoulders touch the floor.

Bicycle – Lie on the floor, hands behind your head.
– With knees at a 45-degree angle do a bicycle pedal motion, touching your left elbow to your right knee, and vice versa.
– Do for one minute.

Plank – Lie face down, push off the floor, raising on to toes and resting on the elbows.
– Hold for 10 secs.
– Repeat for 1 min.

These are so easy to make…

Bonus milkshake -Whizz 300ml skimmed milk, 1tsp honey, 2 drops vanilla essence and 1dsp ground almonds in a blender.

Hot pineapple – Use 1 ring of fresh pineapple, cubed, or 2tbsp tinned pineapple.
– Add 1tbsp blueberries and 4 strawberries, sliced.
– Place in a bowl and microwave for 1 min.
– Stir and zap again for 20 secs.

Hot peaches – As for pineapple, use 2tbsp tinned peaches in juice, add blueberries and microwave for 1 min (without extra 20 secs in microwave).
