I live in the U.S. and "we" seem to have an obsession with deep frying just about anything. Snickers bars and Twinkies seem to be favorites, but any candy bar or baked treat will work. A restaurant local to where I am serves deep fried cheese cake. It was ok, but not really worth the calories.


You WON'T see it quite a lot on menus in Scotland. It's a myth. Very few do. I'm Scottish, I've never had, or been tempted to have one. And neither have any of my friends . People just like to think we all walk around wearing kilts, drinking Irn Bru or whisky, and eating haggis. BTW. There are some chip shops offer to deep-fry ANY chocolate bar, you want, including Creme eggs. Yuk!! Can you imagine? lol.
