‘I’d kind of sold him a lie’ Stacey Solomon opens up about the guilt she feels wearing a wig in front of Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon has opened out about wearing a wig, saying that she feels ‘guilty’ when she wears it in front of her partner, Joe Swash.

The Loose Women panellist recently revealed she sometimes wears a wig – made of human hair – after posting a video of herself washing it on Instagram.

Now she’s spoken out about her decision to wear one – which she’s named ‘Suze’ – revealing that it sometimes makes her feel guilty to wear it in front of Joe because it’s like selling him a lie.

Writing in her new column for The Sun, she said: ‘I’ve worn Suze a couple of times on the TV and on dates with Joe. She’s so easy and looks nice straight away.’

But even though fans hadn’t notice that she the £1,000 wig when she’s on TV – and even Joe doesn’t notice when they’re on dates – she feels bad because he has to see her taking it off when they get home.

‘Joe didn’t even realise I was wearing a wig – until we got home. She gives you a headache after a while so I was itching to get her off.

‘I peeled Suze off and was left with this slicked-down, Ritchie Rich-style hair underneath. It’s really not attractive.’

The mum-of-two added that being really comfortable in their relationship makes it easier, and that luckily Joe loves her enough ‘not to mind’.

‘You have to be very comfortable with the person you love to whip your wig off in front of them’, she said.

‘I made a joke of it to Joe but I felt bad when I took it off. I’d kind of sold him a lie.

‘Everyone else got to enjoy the long-haired mermaid and he was cuddling up with my slicked-down, bald-capped head. Ew! At least he loves me enough not to mind.’
