Taraji P. Henson is officially engaged after accepting a proposal from her boyfriend of two years Kelvin Hayden.
The Empire actress, 47, revealed her happy news on Instagram on Monday, sharing a picture of her huge diamond ring next to a plate of decadent desserts with ‘Congratulations’ written across the bottom in chocolate sauce.
Taraji, who's a mum to 24-year-old son Marcel from a previous relationship, revealed the proposal was the perfect end to Mother's Day, which was celebrated on Sunday in the US.
She captioned the snap: ‘I said yes y’all!!! He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!,’ she continued in the Instagram post, adding, ‘#sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!!’
Fans rushed to congratulate the star, with one gushing: ‘I love you taraji and i am super happy for you i can't say it enough love is an amazing thing’.
