Vicky and John, who's also from Newcastle, started dating in October last year, confirming their relationship after they were spotted kissing in the audience of the X Factor.
The two already had a past romantic history, and things moved quickly until John asked Vicky to marry him last July.
Opening up about her relationship on ITV's Lorraine back in June, Vicky said: 'For years I have struggled with my personal life and finding someone who was supportive of my career and essentially successful in their own right as well.'
'And finally I have that with John. He's lovely and caring and strong.'
